Attack of the Underwear MONSTERS

Yet one of the many things we did when it was too crazy hot to be outside. And no, I did not invent the game...nor can I explain it..but it takes over an hour to play so it is a win-win!

Trying out the new camera...

I took about 50 pictures on different settings that look a lot like this one, but after doing all of that I decided the camera is a keeper. I am now a EOS Rebel T3i owner with two new lenses...still pondering getting the old camera repaired for a back up but since the lens was shot it was a better deal to do this--and it does video, yehaw! I went back and forth on the Canon Rebel and the D series, but decided the Rebel would save me money, the D series was going to get me wanting more classes...bigger lenses....$$$ blah blah blah that I can't afford or have time for...so for now I will be in love with my new Rebel, here is hoping it lasts more than 5 years!

Happy 40th Birthday, Ryan!

Had one of the best steaks of my life at the Yard House (Peppercorn Crusted Filet and an overall great Friday night with the Hurlbutt's...man Ryan is old! Happy 40th..so glad I get to go last!

OEL Camp

Hayden and Davis had the BEST time at OEL this year. I am so glad they got to go, it was a total pain to get into and thanks to Jeni to spending the time to get them in. Every day Davis came home exhausted and covered in mud from head to toe with great stories to tell.

On the last day everyone went for a bonfire. I am glad I went...but the bonfire in 100 plus degrees was just short of insane. And of course, it didn't go well.

The boys were too hot to want to do it so I did it for them. They were to hot to eat a lot (well, Hayden did eat two means, but not two desserts)...and while I am making the final s'more one of the campers caught her marshmallow on fire and then swung her stick towards me and put the fire out on my leg, not after starting my capris on fire and melting the skin on my right shin. While all this was going on NO ONE noticed. Not even the two other women I know standing to the right of me...no camp counselors...that didn't give me a warm fuzzy at all, here I am ON FIRE...but no biggie.

I leave after this and didn't stay for the "hike" since all I wanted to do was shower and clean my wound (which is STILL healing and this was early August). It didn't look too bad, the pants are trashed...but this scar, it is gonna be here to stay.

So, after all of this would I send him back...I think so, but really wish someone would have done something about the fire...kind of freaked out about that...

The evil trip?

I don't know what Keith was complaining about. Aside from Addilyn trying to poke Harper's eye out it seems like everyone had a good time.

Going on a road trip with Daddy!

Keith took the three kids to Wichita by himself when Elizabeth was here to visit us...he said never again when he returned...should I remind him that I flew half way across the US with these three kids...he at least had them trapped in a car...

E comes to visit!

My friend Elizabeth from Texas came to visit for the first part of August--11 days of sleeping too little and doing a whole lot. It was a great visit! I wish she lived closer! And I wish she was here next week when our friend Danielle is coming to visit too!
