It has been a beautiful week, much too nice out to be in posting on the blog...but alas it is nap time and I thought I would catch up here before I "tried" to catch up on laundry, dishes and all the rest of that stuff I can never seem to stay on top of.
Monday we spent the morning water sliding with Renee and her family. Well, really her boys Johnny and Josh played with Carson and Davis and Payton and Harper napped together. Not sure what else babies at that age can do together, but it made me jealous...how nice would it be to have a nap date? OK....that sounds weird, but you kwim, right?! Then later that day when Keith got home we all went to Heritage Park and Davis rode his bike all the way around the lake. He is doing better on it, but still using training wheels. He did have his first "crash" too, and while it was wrong of me to laugh, it was SO funny. He drove right into the bushes and came out covered in brush and he told me that it was my fault b/c I was not holding him...hmm..is that part of bike riding that I missed? I think it was because he was to stay on the path and not in the bushes. Then post crash I was in front of him and he ran into me and told me that I should be more careful and watch where I was going...hmm...I am in front of you so how do I do that...he is funny.
Tuesday the boys had summer camp and it was water day. They got to go to camp in swimsuits and they had fun playing in the water tables and "the daisy". I don't know what the daisy is but we might need one since they were still talking about it this morning. Tuesday night we went to Frontier Park and met Chuck and Jeni since Keith was working late. They had a wonderful time on the "pirate ship". We will definitely be back there more this summer.
Today I had a meeting at church so the boys went to adventure camp, and then after that we went to music class and today was "beach day". Each music lesson is focused on a new summer destination, last week we went to the fair and made something to wear with bells, the week before we went camping and our craft was turtles, and the week before that we made ice cream puzzles, today we made these sun catchers out of things we found at the beach. It has been a great class.
