The summer of stitches....

Less than 30 days ago Davis got his first set of stitches. And today, Davis got his second. The boys were out side playing star wars with a neighbor boy and I went inside to put Harper down for a nap. I had barely made it to the top of the stairs and heard screaming and then Davis came running in (in full Jedi garb) with blood all over his head and ear. I will admit that for his usual drama and faux injuries that I ignore this time was different...there was quite a bit of blood and I wasn't sure where it was coming from. It took a bit to calm him down enough to even look at his head, then to clean him off and find the cut on his head. The cut was not too bad, about an inch long but looked deep and did not look like I could glue or tape it together....so off we went. No nap (again) for Harper. On the upside we were door to door in two hours, having connections at a Dr's office helps sometimes I guess.

Davis was freaked out at first, but sat still when Dr. Travis numbed him and stitched him, he did great. I wish I had thought to take pictures but with my foot on Carson to keep him sitting, Harper on one hip and the other arm holding Davis I couldn't figure out how to do that and still manage the three kids. How on earth do people have more than three kids....you run out of appendages.

Now that it is all said and done, surely it is 5 O'Clock somewhere....
