I don't think I like August.

I have decided this is the longest month ever. Sure, we have had fun going to the pool, but really it is so dang hot that we either have to do that or find something inside to do. It is miserable. Last night there was a breeze and it was blissful. Now, the heat is back on...and I hear it is going to stay all week. The pool pretty much feels like bathwater to me now and the hotter it gets the less time Harper likes to be out...so this week should be interesting.

In other news Keith has done nothing but work all weekend. And will be busy and gone next weekend and then on call again the weekend after that. I officially give up on trying to do back to school shopping because there is no way I am dragging everyone out shopping in this heat. Between the heat and the call and the work it makes for long days for everyone...but I am sure longer for him since he is up all night answering silly calls about things like "my tooth has hurt for two weeks"...um call a D E N T I S T (two weeks ago) not my husband at 3AM. I wish he could bill for calls, or at a minimum the stupid ones.....and there are a lot of stupid ones. I am often not a good sleeper and I tell him I could handle answering calls for him. He tells me that it wouldn't be appropriate, but I can certainly tell who needs to see a Dr. and who needs a thump on the head. I guess it is a good thing I didn't go to med school, huh? I would be kicked out of the club.

I guess I should put this whiny post to bed.

Maybe this week I will take pictures of us at the pool or sweating....sweating should be good...
