And the at home party begins....aka sleepover w/o sleep!

Well, you already know that my party was hella crazy. We met at CEC at 5...left there at 7:30, came back and played games and then had the most insane night of my life since having children. Let's just say 8 eight year old boys is a lotta energy!

So, the games...and the prizes. They all kept saying it was "the best party ever" so I think the games were a hit!

We (aka Jeni) made up money, play money with Davis' face on them, for the boys to win. If they played the game they got a dollar and if they won the game they got an extra dollar. For some games we did first place for $3, second place $2, third place $1. You get the picture.

I had a "candy" bar set up for the kids to "buy" prizes with their money.

We did popcorn/movie after the games so this way they had candy to eat too but it was not a free for all on what they ate.

Also--they were IN LOVE with the "Davis Dollars" as we called them.

1.We had an estimation jar. I put the candy legos in the jar and the winner got the jar of candy. The second closest got extra $.

2.Draw Lego Man--We blindfolded everyone and had them write their name and draw a lego man. I told them they had one minute, I didn't really time them...but as they were all close to done I said times up.

3.Lego Relay--I had a wrapped lego set in a box in front of them. I told them they had to unwrap the box, open it and then dump it onto a plate. Once they did that they had to use the chopsticks (the little grippers that keep them connected were perfect for them to do this with) to put the pieces into the jar. The first one to get them in won, we did first, second and third place with this one.

4. Then we had them dump the jar back onto the plate and assemble the lego set--first one one, etc.

5. Once the lego sets were put away I had them keep the plate and then told them I was going to give them legos to build a tower. The tallest one at the end of 5 minutes won (or whatever my brain timer said..I gave them a 20 second warning and then counted down from 10..). I had a bucket of legos, if they needed more legos they were to raise their hand and I gave them another cup full.

We had three outdoor games too.

6. Pop Lego Man. We tied balloons (not fully inflated yellow ones I drew faces onto) and they had to run around and people tried to pop them. Last man with balloon still inflated wins!

7. We played capture the flag, you could do this with a big lego or lego man or whatever you wanted to make as your "flag".

8. We ended with flashlight tag.
