It's Color Week!

Edited to add Friday - Black and White day! (And, I know it is out of order people, but I am a blog novice...I don't know how to do everything....)

Monday - Red & Blue Day

Tuesday - Green and Yellow Day

Wednesday - Orange & Brown Day

Thursday - Pink & Purple Day!

Davis and Mrs. Rottinghaus all decked out for Pink & Purple Day today! Do note the Braden's Army pin--I have mentioned him before, keep praying! He has started Chemo again and needs those prayers!

Well, this week is color week in Davis' Kindergarten class, and we only have one day left to go - Friday, and that is black and white day. Of course, Davis thinks he should be a Power Ranger or a Pirate for the occassion. I tried to explain that we made a fun hat and shirt for pink and purple day because we didn't have those colors unless he wanted to wear Harper's tutu.

I am glad he wore the hat and shirt today, I was not so sure he would do it, he kept telling me he liked all the colors in the rainbow EXCEPT pink and purple, that he did not like those. That those are girl colors. I am glad he wore it, and extra glad Mrs. R took a picture with him today--that made him feel extra special too. So special that he wanted to wear it out to run errands with his Dad this afternoon.

It has been a full week for us so far. I did post on Monday, but Tuesday was meet the teacher night and I signed up to be room mom, since I don't know what I am doing I kind of feel like my poor teacher got stuck with an inexperienced parent, but I guess she will get to train another one...had never thought of that before that the Kindergarten teachers kind of get stuck training the parents just as much as the kids on all this stuff! But, meet the teacher night went well and so many parents volunteered for things so that was awesome.

While I was at meet the teacher night with Harper, the boys and Keith were at their first soccer practice of the season. Keith is coaching again and this session our team is yellow (which is Braden's favorite color so a great reminder of him!) and our name this time is: The Goldfish! Very cute! And, not as out there as last session when we were "The Blue Ice Cubes". Goldfish is easier to cheer for that is for sure!

Wednesday was a beautiful day out and we enjoyed the awesome weather, today is also just as nice--hopefully the rain will stay away for us. We have swim lessons in a bit and then soccer again tonight and Keith's parents are coming to stay for a few days. Keith is on call all weekend, but fingers crossed everyone stays healthy this weekend and no one has babies :-)
