Chuck and Harper

**************************************************************

Well, it has been quite a week. One with lots going on and too little sleep--too little for all five of us! Keith I think is birthing babies at record numbers, and of course the latest at 2AM this morning so that was fun for him, and this morning he said well I just did a few circumcisions since I was up there and awake. Now, how many of you know someone penis cutting at 2AM? Am I lucky or what?
It has been about a week since Harper has slept through the night, not sure why...is she telling me it is time for cereal or that she is teething or that she was just teasing me these past five months about how awesome of a sleeper she was? Not sure, but we need to get that train back on track 'cause I can't keep up.
The boys of course sleep like rocks because by the time they get to get into bed they are exhausted. In fact, I am pretty sure Davis can fall asleep in under 60 seconds these days and he does not want to get up in the morning either. I am thinking two nights of soccer, one swim and one at church might be too many evening activities for the boys, so maybe when soccer is done they will get caught up on sleep.
In other news, today is Davis' first field trip and this might be harder for me than the first day of school. I am so very sad that he is going without me. That he will be without a parent. Obviously siblings can't go on the trips so I am home with them, but I feel like I am missing out on this time I can't get back. Now...if only I can stop crying over this...ugh. I thought this sad part was over. Guess is is just beginning.
A tooth update--the new one is already on its way in! That is happening so fast!!
A Keith update--Aside from birthing babies, Keith is playing old man soccer with his friend Ryan and Ryan's Hallmark co-workers. The games are at 8:30 so I don't know that we will all make it to them to watch, at least not today for the first one, but I just think this is a good time for anyone reading this to say a prayer that he does not hurt himself. The last organized sport he played (basketball) resulted in an injured foot the day before we left for Disney World. And, when he busted out his cleats from college I got worried. Sure, he played on an indoor league in med school for a bit, but even that was a few years ago and outdoor...well let's just say I think it was 1993 the last time these cleats saw sunshine. Eek.
