Things around here are getting better. My computer finally died (hence the lack of posting) and is now back. Thanks to a great computer service (Kent Kilgore 638-1773 if you are in need) who was crazy fast, good and trustworthy, not to mention reasonable too. So, win win in that we are up and working and didn't buy anything new! Now if only I could be as smart as Mr. Kilgore...
Harper is on her third dose of antibiotics for her ear infection. Keith muttered the words tubes the other day...that is the last thing I needed to hear. The girl has had a rough go of it. The latest antibiotic is the same on the boys were allergic too. So far only a mild rash yesterday and she seems happier. I hope the third time is a charm. I hate seeing her hurt. I also hate not sleeping at night. That is not a win-win.
In other Harper news she is not "walking". She has taken a few steps here and there, but only when she does not realize she is doing it. I fear she will figure it out here soon as the steps have been improving this week. I am not ready for that.
Kindergarten is a very active year for anyone unaware--lots going on and the kids want to do it all. Last night we made 70 suns for a Kdg art project. Davis kept telling me there were not that many kids in his class and didn't understand when I said there were other Kdg classes. I guess it is all about him :-) This year Morse has added a running club and he was sad we did not go run with them this week. Keep in mind we have not run with them yet this year nor do I run anywhere except to hide...or bed. Last night was his school art fair and ice cream social, again I am a terrible mother b/c we did not go. Keith had to work and the idea of taking the screaming ear infection and the crazy 4 year old sounded like more than I could manage and there was not going to be alcohol there so I was out. I think he is mad at me. Today was Animal Day and of course I can't go help out since I have other kids to watch and nap, but he was sad I didn't go. It was rained out and is rescheduled for Monday...hopefully he will let me off the hook for Monday or forget between now and then that he wanted me there. Maybe Morse could add a daycare so parents can do more? I think I like that idea.
Carson had a big week, turning four and all on Tuesday and being sky high about having a birthday before and after the big day. Today he had his friend Bill over and he seemed to be settling down now. Bill's Mom posted on facebook that Bill wanted to marry her when he grew up, very sweet. I asked Carson who he wanted to marry and he told me "I am never getting married" but when I get old I am gonna live with Bill. :-) Right now Carson is watching Dora, he loves her. He might like to marry her one day. On the way home from taking Davis to school this morning Carson told me "Mom, you know I like Dora and Diego". I said I know you do. He said, Dora is aDORAble. :-)
We were planning on having a garage sale today but it has been raining and I gave up on doing it. If the other subdivisions reschedule for next weekend maybe I will try again then. It is not like I was totally ready anyway, but my garage is full of crap....maybe I need to just donate and make it all go away. Anyone want anything??? Bueller??
