Snow and Bugs

It all started this past weekend...a few coughs here and there, then one by one the kids became sick. Carson seems almost well, Davis today was more himself, but Miss Harper, last night and today were not her best. Fortunately no fever since this afternoon for her and fingers crossed that we are turning a corner.

Tomorrow Davis goes back to school (assuming there is school...do they cancel school because it is freakin' cold?). Carson goes back Thursday (again, assuming there is school since we are to get a blizzard between Wed and Fri).

My parents left yesterday, Keith took them to the airport since we had yet more snow and didn't want us all stranded if something happened. The roads were fine but people driving stupid were not and they saw lots of accidents and it took a lot longer than normal to get there. I assume my parents are home since their flight showed it arrived...but they did not check in. At what age do you start expecting your parents to check in with you anyway? Surely they need a curfew.

We took pictures before they left. I wish I could post them....if only the CF card would have been in the camera I could do so, instead we all sat and smiled foolishly for fun.

As for the snow...I do like snow, but the cold, it is bitter out there. This so called blizzard our genius weather people are calling for is to start Wed night 50-60 mile per hour winds -20 temps (that was a MINUS 20) and of course a foot or so of snow. Seriously? I am all for a jammy day now and again, but if we get all that snow there will be no school and no us doing much of anything for days on end...days....eek, just typing that scares me, then again I do scare easily.

  1. Awww...sorry the kids have been sick! Amy was sick on New Year's Day and we're hoping no one else comes down with anything.

PLEASE DO NOT send any of your blizzard weather out to us in Indiana! I go stir crazy when I get snowed in! Give me the warm sunshine and a beach ANY day!!!

    Monga & Boppa...better check in!
