Davis has surgery

Yesterday Davis had surgery. Here is a picture of him when he first got settled in his pre-op room.

And here he is in the post op room. When we went back to see him he was telling the nurse about all the different types of crackers he liked and how many kinds he had at home. He also let her know that he did not like guacamole because it looked like puke.

He is dressed and ready to go home.

Ready to roll.
Getting impatient waiting for Dad to pull the car around.
Happy to be home and in jammies. Of course, we are wearing Christmas jammies...
Look at how good that looks--little swelling and tiny scar. The stitches will dissolve too. The cyst was bigger than everyone thought and it was attached all along the base to the bone, it seemed more movable and like there were two, but instead it was one cyst with a node on it.

I was a little worried about him having anesthesia, but now we know he does OK with it. They were about an hour later than I thought on coming back to tell us it all went well so that was a little nerve racking, but other than that CMH was run like a well oiled machine. Very impressed with the experience. Not that I want to go back.
