Here are the cookies that were "not acceptable" treats--fortunately we got to send them home with the kids and Davis was happy with that--and really, that is all that matters!
Here is our birthday boy when he woke up and before he left for school. (Yes, the cookies match the shirt on purpose and YES I know I have issues...but I am good with that...)
Here is Davis in the classroom, so please with his birthday hat!
Mrs. R had everyone sing to him and he got 6 "spankings" and then got to chose to hold the frog or take the carpet and dance--and boy did our Davis dance! It was priceless to watch and I so wish I had a video camera for the event!
Loving his birthday hat and glasses!
Enjoying his "approved" birthday treats of goldfish and roaring water.
The cake and the hat. Since the cake did not get eaten on Saturday we just popped it into the freezer, and out it came this morning--perfect and moist!
How old is he again??
Oh yeah, I think he is 6!
Love him!
But, he hates for us to kiss him!
We asked him what to sing and he wouldn't tell us so we sang We Wish you a Merry Christmas and For He's a Jolly Good Fellow, and a few other tunes until we had him giggling and then we moved on to Happy Birthday.
And then he blew.
And blew.
And BLEW.
Then we had to have a second cake since he wanted an ice cream cake and yes, we do spoil him. But, note ...more BLOWING.
Opening presents. Monga and Bopa got him the Lego Star Wars Wii game and Light Sabers. He was very excited.
We got him a Razor "like Marissa's but not pink" like he asked for.
And we got him some Lego's.
My brother Greg got Davis a Bakugan set and carrying case. He was thrilled!
Jeni and Chuck got him a Wii game (Cloudy with a Side of Meatballs) and a "number 20". He was so ready to run to the bank right then and there and put it in. I do worry that he thinks he will get the same thing back out from the bank one day...like the exact same "number 20" and will be sad when it is not the same one...
And here is Davis opening a cool anatomy puzzle from his Grandma and Grandpa. They also got him a bird call book and a Jayhawks shirt.
I think our boy had a day that made him feel special. Sure, he is a bit spoiled, but I think I am OK with that.

Happy Birthday Davis! You are my favorite Davis and I love you more than you will ever know!
