My first baby is 6 today!

Six years ago today we met Davis. Born at 10:52AM weighing in at 6lbs 15oz and 20 inches long. After an interesting pregnancy with previa and him being born with a double nucal cord and a true knot it was a relief to hear him cry and know he was here and he was healthy. It was a great day, and together we have had many great days since.
Davis has become such a big boy overnight it seems. He is writing and reading and learning Spanish and math. He is so happy, sweet, silly and fun...most of the time, when he is not antagonizing his brother or not listening to his parents :-)
When he was born I wanted to do nothing other than sit and hold him. I could do it all day and not get enough. I would like to rewind and have a day like that again. Every baby is special and amazing, but first babies do get a lot of extra attention. I miss having that kind of time.

Today Davis has school and my Mom and I are bringing treats to school and get to witness the "birthday dance" they do in his class. That should be fun. Keith is taking the afternoon off to spend with Davis while I will be at church for a bit and then home to get ready for dinner, (Davis asked for Spaghetti and Meatballs) cake, ice cream--and presents of course!

Look for pictures of the day's events later today or tomorrow!
