In an effort to teach our children the real reason behind Christmas we have been having a birthday party for Jesus each Christmas eve. My uncle makes a cake with a nativity scene and we have party hats and sing happy birthday and blow out candles and eat cake. This year my Aunt Jeni got fancy and had goody bags and games. The kids always have a great time with the party and hopefully it is becoming a memory and a tradition they will remember.
