Snowmen, revisited.

I have heard from quite a few people on how I made these, and while I can't take credit for the idea (other than maybe the hat alteration?) I will say that Martha Stewart had a good one with these since I found them on her site.
I used long sucker sticks, you could use shorter ones, but the long ones were fun. Got them at Michaels. Got the cello bags there too, they came with the twist ties.
I stuck three marshmallows on the stick.
Then I used frosting to make the eyes, nose and buttons stick (eyes-mini choc chips and nose/buttons mini m&m's--and yes it takes lots of searching for any processed in a nut free facility). I assembled the hats (mini and reg nilla wafers with frosting). I let the frosting set up for a bit (an hour or more?) and then I put the arms (pretzels--Rold Gold are nut free facility) and then the scarf (Twizzler--I used one strand, but I think multi strand might hold up better when you knot or tie them) and finally I adhered the hat with frosting to the top. I let that set out for about an hour as well.
And--wallah. Snowmen. I am guessing from the parents, kids and email response from these they were a hit! I did ponder making the dipped pretzel ones in family fun (Sheila made these for her older daughters class) and those are super cute too...a bit more work I think, but a good option with a restricted food list too.
