I guess I should have believed him when he told me his tummy hurt yesterday morning. He also told me he didn't like school and wanted to play Wii....so I didn't buy the tummy ache. Maybe I will listen next time, but how am I suppose to know...

Sick Carson.
That poor kid has puked a lot this year, and yesterday in my car while I was in the carpool line at Davis' school. I can think of a lot of other places more fun to clean up puke than my car...

Catching up...sorta
These past few weeks have been a blur, and the next few (or month?) won't be much different so I will update when I can. I am trying to think of what I have not posted about and really I can't remember so it must not be all too important.
I am trying to plan birthday parties for our people. Keith turns 40 on 3/26 so we are celebrating at a local bar, then Harper turns two on 4/2 and we are having an Elmo Extravaganza that day and then Mr. Carson turns 5 (HOW CAN HE BE FIVE?) on 4/27 and we will be sleuthing it Scooby Style. Is there some reason everything has to be all at the same time around here...
Wednesday I took Carson and we met other friends at Jumping Jax, after the past week around here we needed something light and fun and it was good to go jump and bounce. Harper has gotten so brave and does it all by herself....can't believe it!
Davis had a field trip on Thursday that Keith got to attend, they both were so excited about that.
This week we head into spring break. We had originally planned to go somewhere warm but things kept popping up that we needed to be here for so our vacation has turned into a small trip to Wichita to see Keith's parents and go to the Zoo (if the weather allows) and Exploration Place. The kids will have fun whatever we do, but kind of bummed about the change of plans. I am in need of a vacation...a real one...or a day off, ha!
The last week of February one of our neighbors tragically lost their 13 year old son Kyle. The funeral was this past Tuesday. Tomorrow (3/7) would be his birthday, he was a twin, so tomorrow Katie will be 14 and celebrating without Kyle. It breaks my heart. Sending many prayers for Katie, their parents and the entire Ernst family.
23 months old...
These pictures were taken at our preschool silent auction on Saturday. Harper had a great time dancing to Dino Dell. The boys...they were off and running. The obstacle course was quite a hit and so was the face painting. Whatever they painted with took a lot of work to get off of Carson but eventually baby oil did the trick.
You can see Harper wore her "Elmo Dobbies". Her name, not ours. She often calls her feet or her socks or her shoes her "dobbies". Yes, she knows the proper word and if I say food or sock or shoe she will repeat it but "dobbies" makes her light up and giggle so we all just call them that. In fact, Davis tickles her dobbies all the time. I wonder what people would think if they saw us home alone...anyway, I digress.
The dobbies were worn that morning to another fundraiser--pancake breakfast at Applebees. She danced there too, people enjoyed her solo performance. She also went behind the bar and grabbed a bottle of tequila. Then she went for the beer tub when I took the tequila away. Keith said she got that from me...um...excuse me? Later when we went to the preschool auction I tried to remove the Elmo slippers and no luck. So we wore them there. Then today we wore them all day again. In fact, Keith took a picture with his phone of her dressed as a chicken with the slippers on. I hope tomorrow we can try some different foot wear.
Baby Gifts
Getting a little crazy over here...
But last Sunday was so fun and when I unpacked it all and told Keith what I spent he said "do you want me to put it under a Christmas tree?". Yes, YES I do. So I took a picture of it.
Secret Clinical (that stuff is spendy at full price, but it was purchased in honor of you E!), 2 Glide flosses (FREE!), one huggies wipe (FREE!) and a big refill pack, 6 jugs of laundry detergent, two TP packs, 2 Reeces mini's (FREE!), 3 Cascades, 3 Dawn and 2 Finish gel packs. All of this for $30 bucks! Well, $40 but I have a ten dollar credit at CVS still to use so to me I call that 30 bucks. Surely there is a prize out there for this, right? Or a Christmas tree?
Just be glad I didn't show you my 36 boxes of cereal I have stock piled. If cereal can be found for 50 cents (name brand) I can't seem to say no. Thank goodness Keith eats a lot of cereal!
